What is the limitation period for filing a property dispute case?

I discovered that someone has forged documents and transferred my ancestral property to their name. How long do I have to file a case to reclaim it?

Under the Limitation Act, 1963, the limitation period for filing a suit for possession of immovable property based on title is 12 years from the date when the possession of the defendant becomes adverse. For property disputes involving fraud, the period starts from when the fraud was discovered.
