How do I file a consumer complaint against a builder for delayed possession?

My builder has delayed possession of my apartment by 2 years beyond the agreed date. I want to file a complaint. Should I go to RERA or Consumer Court? What compensation can I claim?

You have two options: RERA or Consumer Court. RERA is generally faster for delay-related complaints. Under RERA, you can claim interest for each month of delay. You can also choose to withdraw from the project and get a full refund with interest. Consumer Court can award compensation for mental agony and litigation costs.
